Python Job: System Administrator Team Lead

DeviceAtlas Limited holds multiple patents on device recognition and intelligence. Products include the DeviceAtlas device intelligence solution, DeviceAssure and developer tools such as mobiReady.

We are looking for a mid-to-senior level engineer to take over the role of team lead for our IT Operations team. This team is responsible for the delivery of all IT-related functions across the company and reports to the CTO. This is a hands-on technical role and will allow you to continue to directly contribute.

The day-to-day responsibilities of the position include:

• Overseeing the maintenance and development of the company's cloud-based, customer-facing infrastructure - AWS, k8s, etc.
• Overseeing the IT strategy for the internal company infrastructure - email, network, laptops, voice, servers, backups, etc.
• Team lead/management responsibilities such as roadmap planning, work prioritisation, inter-team coordination, 1-1, goal-setting, coaching, etc.
• Participate in the 24x7 on-call rotation.

If you have 5+ years experience in System Administration, Operations, DevOps, or Site Reliability engineering, we want to hear from you.

Required skills/experience:

• Experience managing or leading a team. We may consider some candidates who don't have experience in this area but who wish to transition into this type of role.
• Linux system administration.
• Knowledge of web protocols, e.g. HTTP, TLS, DNS, etc.
• Experience running customer facing services in cloud platforms such as AWS.
• Programming/scripting skills, preferably Python or bash.
• Experience with database administration, e.g., MySQL.

Nice-to-have skills:

• Experience migrating and managing services in Kubernetes.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools such as Jenkins, Docker, Nexus, and Rundeck.
• Experience with a configuration management system such as Puppet.
• Experience deploying and managing a Prometheus based monitoring system.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: €70,000.00-€80,000.00 per year
